North Carolina’s Brunswick Island Golf Offers

“Top 10 Best New Courses” … “Most Fun” …“Golf Course of the Year.” Award-winning play can be found on North Carolina’s Brunswick Islands, also known as North Carolina’s Golf Coast among pros, serious players and duffers. Just north of Myrtle Beach and south of Wilmington, more than 30 championship courses are located in Brunswick County, the Northern end of Grand Strand golf.

Designed by such greats as Arnold Palmer, Rees Jones, Fred Couples, Dan Maples, Willard Byrd, Tim Cate and Hale Irwin, the golf courses of North Carolina’s Brunswick Islands offer a wide range of settings, from marsh to maritime forests, to lakes, streams, beaches and the Intracoastal Waterway. Mild temperatures, fewer crowds and less traffic congestion than its neighboring golf mecca 30 minutes south make North Carolina’s Golf Coast an unbeatable combination with discriminating golfers.  Some of the local courses are also offering unbeatable summer and fall deals. Here are four not-to-be-missed golf packages:

Sea Trail Golf Resort is offering a special $159 per person package for two nights and two rounds of golf on any of the three golf courses at the resort. Guests will enjoy access to on-site pools, restaurants and nearby Sunset Beach. Deal valid through September 19, 2012. For more information please call (888) 321-9076 or visit www.seatrail.com.

The Winds Resort and Beach Club on Ocean Isle Beach is offering a $99 p.p. and up Fall Fore Golf all-inclusive package that not only includes lodging, daily hot breakfast buffet and daily housekeeping, but daily rounds of golf and carts. The choice of courses includes Brunswick Plantation, Lockwood Folly, Sea Trail Byrd, Sea Trail Maples, and Carolina Shores. Carolina National, Sandpiper Bay and Meadowlands can be added for a nominal fee. The package is available September 1, 2012 through October 31, 2012. For more information please call (800) 334-3581, visit www.thewindsgolf.com or email golfdesk@thewinds.com.

The Winds Golf is also offering FREE on-site golf for all guests of The Winds Resort and Beach Club. Cart fee is extra. This deal is valid through August 31, 2012. Please call (800) 334-3581, email golfdesk@thewinds.com or visit www.thewindsgolf.com  for more information.

Play premium select courses and stay right on the fairway with the Pro’s Choice Fall Special for $340 p.p. The all-inclusive three-night and three round package features condominium accommodations and golf at Oyster Bay, Crow Creek and Sandpiper Bay on Sunset Beach. The deal is valid September 6, 2012 through November 18, 2012. Please call (866) 348-7138 or visit www.SloaneVacations.com for more information.

But don’t be all golf and no other play: five barrier islands provide miles of surf on six pristine beaches for families and nature-lovers. The area’s distinctive islands and towns – Sunset Beach, Ocean Isle Beach, Holden Beach, Oak Island, Caswell Beach, Bald Head Island, Leland, Southport, Shallotte and Calabash – offer family-owned restaurants and shops. Fin-tastic fishing and kayaking await. Forts, lighthouses and historic sites round out the attractions.  Here’s a link to all there is to do and see in North Carolina’s Brunswick Islands: www.ncbrunswick.com
