St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches

More than 60 popular attractions including historic sites, zoological park, museums, factory tours and yes, even outlet malls, make for unforgettable tour options in St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches.

St. Augustine, the oldest, continuously occupied European settlement in the continental United States, is home to some of America’s most historic sites, including the seventeenth century fortress, Castillo de San Marcos, Fort Matanzas national monument, the Oldest House dating back to Florida’s first Spanish period between 1565 to 1763 and the more recent history of railroad tycoon, Henry Flagler in the late 1800’s.

Ponte Vedra Beach is an elegant ocean-side resort area well known for being the national headquarters of the PGA Tour and site to one of the Tour’s most prestigious golf tournaments, THE PLAYERS Championship. But history is also a significant part of the Ponte Vedra Beach story. Illustrations can be seen on display throughout several gracious resorts.

The attractions also include living history museums, golfing hall of fame, walking tours, scenic waterway cruises and fine arts museums. Unique shops, many featuring art and antiques, are situated throughout the 144 block historic district.

More than 40 festivals and themed special events bring the colorful ambiance and history of the “Old City” to life throughout the year.

Forty-two miles of unspoiled beaches and outstanding year-round fishing make this northeast Florida area one of the Sunshine State’s most popular playgrounds.

If antiques are desired, then St. Augustine is an ideal place to shop. Three distinct antique shopping areas are grouped within five minutes walking or driving distance of the center of St. Augustine. The Antique Dealers Association of St. Augustine lists 25 members, nearly all of them within two miles of the city’s historic district.

Like to “shop ‘til you drop?” St. Augustine Premium Outlets, located at the intersection of I-95 (exit #318) and State Road 16, has more than 95 designer and name brand outlets at savings of 25%-65% everyday. It’s neighbor across the road, the newly renovated and expanded Prime Outlet Mall, which features upscale outlet stores like Gucci, Saks Off 5th, and more, is St. Augustine’s largest indoor factory outlet mall. Find spectacular savings of up to 75 percent on famous name brands at over 75 stores! The shops of fashionable Ponte Vedra Beach, located at the northern tip of St. Johns County, reflect the resort atmosphere of the beachside community. Upscale specialty shops include women and men’s clothiers to sports apparel and accessories.

Enjoy a romantic getaway.  Take the family and let the memories unfold and don’t miss a golf getaway with Stay & Play packages.
