VIP SKI

VIP SKI’s new hotel in St Anton is currently being transformed before the winter season starts. Last week the first three bedrooms were completed and the photographer took some snaps so we could give you a sneak preview of how VIP SKI’s interior design team is getting on. What a transformation!
The new super-stylish Hotel Montjola is specialist ski company VIP SKI’s first foray into St Anton and Austria and brand new for the 2012/13 season. The property has been treated this summer to a total overhaul by VIP SKI’s interior designers to give the hotel that special VIP twist.
The historic Hotel Montjola was built in 1932 and following its much needed re-vamp, now has all the contemporary comforts required, including flat screen TVs, sound docks and signature hot tubs. The hotel has 33 spacious bedrooms which sleep a maximum of 80 guests with a mix of double, twin, triple and Austrian twin bedrooms and enjoys design-led interiors combined with perfect Austrian form, function and charm. All the classic hallmark touches of a VIP SKI experience will be offered including welcome drinks and mouth-watering canapés, seven days cooked breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meal with wine included, a bar serving drinks & coffee, a sauna, steam room and massage suite and a new wraparound outdoor hot tub. A complimentary ski hosting service is available to assist skiers on finding the best way to get around the vast array of slopes as well as an eight ‘til eight Chauffeur service to bring guests back up the hill at the end of the day. Two nannies are also on hand to help make a family holiday more enjoyable and can help with the children’s needs.

Bring your children to the snow with a VIP family chalet holiday
2012 saw the 48th International Ski Congress take place in Kangwonland (Korea) which, unlike previous years, was not solely focused on the affairs of senior athletes. This year, the biannual congress featured an added focus on children, honouring the recipients of the 2nd FIS SnowKIdz Award as part of an international campaign to generate passion amongst children in snow sports entitled “Bring Children to Snow”.
The campaign was launched to address the recent decline of youth participation in snow sports. It would appear that fewer children are learning to ski or snowboard as more parents choose to hang up their ski socks after starting a family. The stress of organising a large family trip to the slopes with toddlers, teenagers and tantrums in tow simply does not appeal to many parents, particularly when juggling all of the family’s different needs leaves little time to enjoy the snow. If this sounds all too familiar, and you want to encourage your kids to ski or snowboard, but without the added stress, then why not treat the whole family to a chalet holiday with VIP SKI.
VIP SKI’s Chalet Le Manoir located in the stunning French resort Alpe d’Huez is perfect for families; it sleeps up to 12 people with a choice of twin or double rooms and is available for bookings by the room for families with children. Located in a completely unique position right on the piste the chalet offers the ultimate in ski-in ski-out convenience, overlooks the lifts and nursery slopes and is just 100m from the shops, bars and restaurants. Le Manoir boasts a wet suite with hot tub and sauna, an open fire, ski room with boot warmers, private underground parking and is fully equipped with everything to keep both adults and children entertained in the evenings. Features include; television with UK Freeview, BOSE Music system with iPod connectivity, WiFi, Blueray DVD with film/children’s library, Playstation 3 and a board games library.
VIP SKI will take care of every last detail, from VIP chalet catering and daily cleaning, to ski tuition and childcare with its fantastic flexible private nanny service. Guests will be greeted with champagne and canapés on arrival and will also benefit from wake up drinks, complimentary toiletries, daily newspapers and ski hosting throughout their stay, so that the only thing left for the parents to worry about is enjoying some of the best skiing the French Alps have to offer.
VIP SKI (0844 557 3119; www.vip-chalets.com) offers 7 nights at Le Manoir from £889 per person based on 2 sharing, including return flights from Gatwick, transfers and catered accommodation. The VIP SKI prices include; Return flights from Gatwick, coach transfers, accommodation, catered chalet board of cooked breakfast, afternoon tea, three course evening meal on seven nights followed by cheese board and coffee and mints, house wine, ski and snowboard hosting, daily newspapers and complimentary toiletries. Guests can also choose to book; valet parking, private transfers and private VIP SKI nannies. Children under 5 years old on the return date of travel receive a free ski pass on all departure dates.
